The Erasmus program was one of the best and most interesting experience that could happen in our studies. Out of many options we decided that Finland could be most thrilling.

Choosing Finland for our Erasmus experience was a thoughtful decision rooted in various factors. First and foremost, we wanted to experience the Finnish lifestyle, which differs from the Greek. Finland’s cutting-edge health care system, renowned education system, known for its innovation and high quality, presents an ideal environment for academic growth. Additionally, the country’s commitment to sustainability and nature aligns with our values, offering a unique cultural experience.

The opportunity to immerse ourselves in a society known for its inclusivity and modernity further influenced our choice. Finland’s vibrant cities, and the chance to explore the Northern Lights also added an exciting dimension to our decision. Overall, selecting Finland for Erasmus promises a blend of academic excellence, cultural richness, and unforgettable experiences.

Studying at Turku University of Applied Sciences was a transformative experience. Immersed in a vibrant academic environment, our focus was primarily on practical learning through hands-on labs. These interactive sessions not only deepened our understanding of theoretical concepts but also equipped us with valuable skills for real-world applications.

Studying was pleasant and communal, and the teachers were more than willing to help when needed.

Collaborating with diverse classmates enhanced our teamwork and problem-solving abilities. The campus facilities and supportive faculty further enriched our educational journey. Beyond academics, exploring Turku’s rich cultural scene and forging connections with fellow students made this exchange an unforgettable chapter in our academic pursuits.

Studying was pleasant and communal, and the teachers were more than willing to help when needed. Furthermore, it was surprising that undergraduate students also work as tutors for other students. Our tutors were extremely kind and helpful as well as very approachable. We had the chance to discuss with them our differences in our educational systems but also the different struggles we face in our degree. They also gave us many advice on how to have the best experience from the Finnish culture!

Finland’s nature is a symphony of serenity and splendor. Winter transforms the land into a snow-laden wonderland. The Finnish archipelago, with its myriad islands and coastal charm, adds another layer to the country’s natural tapestry. Finland’s commitment to environmental sustainability is evident in its well-preserved national parks, where one can truly connect with the pure beauty of Nordic nature.

During our stay in Finland, we had the unique opportunity to visit the soul captivating Lapland. Our Erasmus adventure in Lapland was nothing short of enchanting. While the elusive Northern Lights remained hidden from our view, we immersed ourselves in the winter wonderland of Santa’s village. The husky ride through pristine snow-covered landscapes was exhilarating, and gliding across frozen lakes during ice skating added a magical touch to our experience.

Our time in Finland has been a blend of academic excellence, cultural richness, and unforgettable experiences.

Sledging down hills filled our days with laughter and pure joy. Meeting and feeding the reindeers was a heartwarming encounter, connecting us to the region’s rich cultural heritage. Lapland, with its charming winter activities and festive spirit, left an indelible mark on our Erasmus journey.

Overall, our time in Finland has been a blend of academic excellence, cultural richness, and unforgettable experiences. The decision to embark on this Erasmus journey has not only broadened our perspectives but has also created memories that will last a lifetime.
